A new chapter Begins
Well hey there, it’s been a minute! I know it’s been quiet on this blog for the past year , but trust me, it’s been anything but quiet behind the scenes.
Over the last 12 months, I’ve been busy shaking things up in my career. I made a decision 6 months ago it was time for a new challenge and accepted a new role as a Principal Solution Architect in the Presales team at TTEC Digital — and what a ride it’s been SO FAR!
The past six months have been a whirlwind of learning, collaborating, and diving deep into the world of presales. I’m absolutely loving it — the energy, the strategy, the storytelling — it’s all been incredibly rewarding.
So, while the blog may have been on pause, the learning certainly hasn’t. I’m excited to share insights, technology updates and stories from this new chapter as I navigate the presales landscape and continue growing in this space.
Thanks for sticking around — let’s get into it!
THE MOVE FROM DELIVERY TO PRESALES
One of the biggest shifts I’ve experienced moving from a delivery team to a presales role is the pace and nature of discovery. In delivery, you’re deep in execution — building solutions, managing timelines, and driving outcomes. But in presales, it’s all about rapid understanding: quickly getting under the skin of an organisation, uncovering their challenges, and mapping how Dynamics 365 can genuinely help. It’s a fast, strategic dance of listening, learning, and proving value — and honestly, I didn’t fully appreciate the depth and effort involved until I stepped into the role myself. It’s been eye-opening, energising, and incredibly rewarding.
LIFE AT TTEC DIGITAL
One of the standout aspects of my transition into presales at TTEC Digital , making it both smooth and enjoyable has been working with my manager, Dan Barzotti. Dan’s coaching and mentoring style has been nothing short of amazing providing the perfect balance of support and autonomy. He’s always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and share his deep knowledge, yet he also gives me the space and trust to own my work and deliver confidently. Whether it’s a complex demo, a tricky estimation, or navigating internal processes, Dan’s approach is enabling me to learn and grow. I feel genuinely lucky to be learning from him, and look forward to what the next few months of learning brings.
I’ve also been lucky to have Olivia Shaw as my onboarding buddy — she’s been a lifesaver when it comes to navigating internal processes, documentation, and resources. Her positive energy brings a great vibe to every call relating to new opportunities and RFP work (not to mention her love for Matcha!)
The wider sales team have also been incredibly supportive too, and its amazing to learn from them about the other powerhouse teams we have like Genesis that we can lean on and collaborate with where needed.
One of the most refreshing aspects of working at TTEC Digital has been the leadership culture — especially within the Microsoft practice.
I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Andy Elsmore and Maha Meikum Perumal and despite being part of the senior leadership team, they are always accessible and genuinely invested in the team. They regularly check in, stay close to the action, and foster an environment where collaboration flows freely across all levels. It’s not just talk — everyone gets stuck in; no task is considered beneath anyone. I believe it is this kind of leadership which sets the tone for a truly inclusive and high-performing team; it really does show. I’ve felt this strongly over the past 5 months and truly believe this is somewhere that I will professionally grow, learn, and thrive.
WHAT DOES A PRESALES SOLUTION ARCHITECT ACTUALLY DO? … (i hear you ask!)
Stepping into presales has revealed a whole new world of responsibilities that are fast-paced, strategic, and deeply collaborative.
It’s a dynamic role that blends storytelling, strategy, and solutioning — and I’ve loved every minute of it so far.
Here is the kind of work that fills my day :
Discovery Workshops – Rapidly understanding a client’s business, pain points, and goals.
Solution Design – Crafting tailored D365 architectures that align with business needs.
Product Demonstrations – Showcasing how D365 can solve real-world challenges, often with custom scenarios.
Estimations & Effort Models – Collaborating with delivery teams to scope out realistic timelines and resources.
Statements of Work (SOWs) – Translating solutions into clear, actionable contracts.
Proposal Support – Contributing to RFPs, RFIs, and pitch decks with technical insight.
It’s been an exciting journey stepping into the world of presales at TTEC Digital, and I’m genuinely grateful for the support, mentorship, and collaboration I’ve experienced so far.
This blog marks the beginning of a new chapter, and I’m committed to sharing more of my learnings as I continue to grow in this role. So stay tuned! I’ll be posting more about:
