Now that’s what i call a wave release!
Ahhhhh so here it is, my official first blog post for my very own Blog… and boy is it a good one!
What better way to kick my blog off, than a blog post dedicated to the wave release plans for this year!
So below are the Four Features that i am calling THE FANTASTIC FOUR!
Fantastic Feature One : Action-oriented journeys
As of April 2023, journey orchestration with reminders will become so much easier for marketing teams to build. We will no longer have to create cascading branches to check for a qualifying action (which makes me unbelievably happy!) thanks to the built in reminder orchestration! From what i can gather from the screenshot that Microsoft have provided, this will simplify the complexity of the larger journeys; allowing the marketing team to focus on the individual actions and not worry about logic steps for reminders which can make a journey look very overwhelming and confusing at first glance to another person.
Fantastic Feature Two : Easily move custom triggers between environments
Another feature that i am looking forward to is the easability of moving published custom triggers between environments using the concept of managed solutions in Dynamics 365 and not having to worry about the status of a trigger being set back to draft. Microsoft advise that this will help with managing version control and cross-environment trigger updates to ensure that the right triggers are being used in your journeys…… MICROSOFT I HAVE TWO WORDS HERE…….THANK YOU!
Fantastic Feature Three : Forms get an intuitive upgrade
Microsoft have promised with the new intuitive forms experience in real-time marketing, marketeers will be able to easily create modern forms with advanced capabilities without depending on developers. The screenshot they have provided really does look simple and i am so excited that this will be available from April 2023 (Just slightly gutted that there is no preview available to get my hands on…. But i guess sometimes we have to be patient and wait for the best little things in life!) Microsoft have advised with the update we can expect a modern drag-and-drop editor that will guide users through the entire form creation process which is fantastic for those who are just getting started in the world of D365 Marketing!
Fantastic Feature Four : Increased capacity of 300 million messages per month
Yes you read that right!!!!!
Microsoft have advised that from July 2023 Marketing teams will be able to reach up to 100 million contacts ( instead of 30million previously) or leads and send up to 300 million messages per month with Dynamics 365 real-time marketing such as emails, SMS, and push notifications! And the even greater news is Outbound capacity has also had an upgrade: users will now be able to potentially deliver up to 300 million monthly outbound interactions (instead of 100 millions) via email messages, SMS, push, or custom channels.
Summary thoughts on this Wave Release:
I really do feel that Microsoft are trying their best to simplify the application and improve the ease of experience for it’s users all whilst ensuring it can achieve those all important, promised marketing requirements! Over the last two years, i have watched the application become more user friendly, less chunky and clunky to use, and i am very very excited as to what this application will be like for a user in another two years time!
